Leak: Valve might be testing CSGO Source 2 port
In July 2021, we announced the formation of the Open 3D Foundation and the Open 3D Engine (O3DE), a AAA-capable, cross-platform, open-source game engine available under an Apache 2.0 license. We wanted to give game and simulation developers more choices to collaborate, customize, and control their production pipelines. We're also growing an open-source community with the Linux Foundation and industry partners. The successor to Lumberyard, O3DE is available, with a Windows installer and support for Linux. Source 2 engine At first, the plan was to both make a smartphone game and a game editor. I showed Daigo a version of Innovation that I’d just barely managed to get running at 30 FPS on Android, and told him I’d do whatever maintenance I possibly could to get the engine running better, if only he’d use Ebiten for this hypothetical game. He was immediately on board with the idea (I think). Though if it hadn’t been for that first Android version of Innovation, something tells me these discussions never would have even made it this far.

CSGO would have better graphics in Source 2 Due to its robust graphical capabilities with lighting, shaders, and more, Unreal Engine is the power-house behind many of the most popular, triple-A games out there today. Given its rampant use in that sector, the engine has been developed very specifically to handle a lot of complicated tasks more efficiently than other engines. Like others on this list, the engine is also open-source, meaning the community is constantly improving the engine as well.
